Prelim 2: Cinematography Task

 I, Ali, and Deren wanted to understand the basics of cinematography. We did this by creating a few-minute-long video. Cinematography is the skill and art of telling a story visually through a motion picture. Technically speaking, the cinematography is the art of recording light. 

During this prelim, I intended to spread awareness about bullying in my composed short film and this has allowed me to learn many cinematic techniques such as constructing medium shots and two shots. I also constructed dialogue while directing and acting. This allowed me to see the point of view of the director, actor, and cinematographer.  Through this, I found cinematography better suited me. Furthermore, I practiced editing techniques such as a fade transition which can be seen in films such as star wars.
